One thing we love is the beach ! This was Ezra's first trip to the beach and the kid was right at home. Ethan we know is a water baby and loves the beach, but we weren't too sure as to how Ezra would do. But like a little dolphin to the ocean! He gets so excited just being outside that the beach was a real treat!! He loved it!

Besides my husband family, I've known this family the longest here in Australia. They were in our wedding, been friends with Jared for years and are now close family friends. They have a sweet little man named Reeve who is lots of fun! They just adore that little man!

They are funny, great to be around and just all around good people. We had a great time just chatting and enjoying the weather (although it was cold then warm) We played around the park and just enjoyed some time getting to know each other. A very good friend of mine asked me to 2nd shoot with her. This was a great opportunity for me to learn and to see how other photographers work. I had never met Dean or Melissa, but knew them through church and heard they were getting married. My friend Tennille had moved to Darwin but was coming back to shoot this wedding. I wasn't going to pass up an opportunity to spend time with a friend and to shoot. So we braved a VERY cold night and got this wedding done.

Thanks to Tenny for asking me to shoot and for Dean and Mel for letting me be a part of this day! It was amazing!!

Harry is one of the sweetest little boys ever! I just want to eat him up! He is a few weeks old here, but he has begun to grow into quite the spunk from what I hear! (Harry is Carmen's nephew) I shoot him while he was in utero and now have had the joy of shooting him after he was born! Such a sweet little man!

My 6 Random Facts!

The ever glorious Rachel Trigueiro tagged me to share my 6 random facts. I think everyone I know has been tagged, so Rach this one if just for you!

1. I have this insatiable fear of hanging my arm outside the window of the car. I once saw an episode of Maury Povich where a girl was in a car accident and she had her arm cut off because it was hanging outside the window. I cried because her boyfriend proposed and she said no because it was her left arm and she had to wear the ring on her right hand. Lame I know!

2. I put flip flops on as soon as I get out of bed. I hate wearing socks but can't stand to be barefoot! So each morning my black or Red Old Navy Flip Flops go on (I NEED NEW ONES!)

3. I hate raw onion but I LOVE cooked onion! The Aussies know how to cook them too! On the BBQ served with some snags on piece of bread. SO SO good! Never thought I'd eat a sausage in a piece of bread haha!

4. I have a need to rearrange some room in my house at least once every 2 months. I go insane! My house hasn't been rearranged in awhile and it is killing me! I like things to change and be different. I think I would buy new furniture or something new each month just to have change!

5. When I was in 3rd grade I was reading at a 7th grade level, so they bumped me up to 5th grade and I skipped 4th. But something happened and my brain reverted back to 4th grade so instead of doing 6th grade, I did 5th grade again!

6. I am afraid of birds. I was shooting a wedding a few weeks ago and when I went to take a photo I didn't realize I was near a bird feeder, and 2 big HUGE birds came fluttering near my face and I screamed and nearly fell off the chair! I hate live birds!

One of my photos was picked for a company called Huggalugs. I am excited! Might not be a big deal to some, but I am so happy about it! Mabyl was my sweet little model and she hammed it up quite nicely! The photo can be found in the Studio Bambini Magazine Winter edition on page 35!

I haven't bought one yet, but the mum scanned a page to share!

My beautiful friend has had a baby! I met Sarah when I got hired for Starbucks here in Adelaide. She was the store manager and we hit it of right from the start. Actually, she was the first work person I told about being pregnant with Ethan. Through the months at Starbucks, we grew to become great friends! I admire her strength and work ethic and hope one day to be able to work along side her again. She is funny and we just love to laugh together. She loves my son a whole lot too! I hope to get some pictures of her little Maia Daphne soon!

Rylan is too cute for words! He was just over 2 weeks old when I took his photos. He is like the perfect little man. His light blonde hair really made him the perfect baby! Sweet with big eyes and a very cute face! He has 3 other brothers, and his mum was just amazing. She trusted me with him and let me do what I needed to for the shoot!

This was probably the friendliest and easiest family to talk to. I didn't know them, but thanks to Facebook and another website my work got around to them and they asked me to photograph their children. From the first moment I met them, I knew I would like them.

Alice is only a few weeks old, just over 2 acutally. She was so peaceful and sweet. I love babies, but this little girl was too cute! She was so calm and just really serene. I had a great time with this family and loved getting to know them and see them together. Thank you so much!

Mitchell is funny, silly and very much a little model. The minute he got in front of the camera, I knew I had a little ham on my hands. He did everything I asked him too, and even with Dad tickling him, he still looked right at the camera! He was lots of fun!

She has been my friend and my amazing confidant since we met up in Adelaide. We have known each other for years, but haven't been close until now.

I doubt his parents are thinking this! Ally and Heywood were a blast! They are expecting this little bundle at the end of August! We met up on a rainy day and spent it talking about everything! Motherhood, parenting, babies, morning sickness, pregnancy and little boys!

While I was doing the shoot, Heywood was taking some shots himself! They are fun loving and you can tell they are just so excited for this little life! Thanks again for the opportunity! Good luck and can't wait to meet him!

Meet Little Miss Lily.

So sweet. After I first laid eyes on her I wanted another baby. I wanted a little girl as sweet and as precious as she is. She is so petite and compared to my little Man, she is so light. Her mum Anita and dad Peter were the most hospitable and friendly people I have sat with in awhile. They offered me tea, talked about parenting and just really made me feel very comfy in their home. Anita and I also picked the same Pram (stroller) and Lily and Ethan have the same Fisher Price toy. You can see just how much Anita and Peter adore Lily. Every time Peter came into the room, he smiled at both of them and leaned in to see her a little better. It really was heart warming.

Even after my son spilled tea and ruined their IKEA and decorating catalogues, they were still very gracious! Sorry about that guys!

This is Inara. She made me smile the minute I saw her. Her sweet little face just made me feel warm and I was so glad I was going to take her photos. Her blonde little curls just made her even more adorable. Her mum treated me and little Mister to lunch and we just had a nice time. I had the awesome privilege of taking Charli's 9 month pictures. She is so adorable. She had a bit of a rough start, but we got some awesome pictures. She is great. Her mom Carmen is such a great person too. We had lots of fun talking about our kids and being moms. I met her partner Mark and he was sweet. Jessica's 21st Birthday Shoot

Jess and I met when I moved to Australia. We worked at a coffee shop together in the city and we became instant friends. She is an awesome girl with tons of love and lots of personality! I adore her! I ended up leaving the job to work in an office and then eventually in Starbucks. I got her a job there too! Our friendship is such a huge blessing to me! We took these photos for her 21st Birthday. She and I had a fun day of laughter and lots of funny moments.
One of them involved a man on the beach...
He was not all there, and when we left the beach he called out to me "SEE YA FATTY!" Normally that might have hurt my feelngs, but seeing that I was 9 months pregnant, I didn't mind! It was loads of fun!

She arrives on in 1 day! I cannot wait to see her! She was here in September for 2 weeks and got to be a part of my Baby Shower. It was awesome! She helped me pick out the nursery furniture and our stroller. It was awesome to have her here. Here are some great photos from that trip! This was my first baby shoot. I had only used Ethan and some other kids a few years ago to practice, but this was going to be my first "real" challenge. A baby that I didn't know and who didn't know me. She is 12 weeks old here. She is a cute baby and her mom was one of the most hospitable people I have ever met! For my first, it was really fun!

These were the first photos I'd taken on my Canon DSLR. Jayne is a friend of ours, and although she has been married a few years, she really wanted some photos of her in her dress. So we got all prettied up and went out on a shoot. It was so much fun. It was a good learning experience for me with my camera. I loved it!

Ethan Christopher

Our little guy was born October 27th at 4:13 am. He weighed 7lbs 6oz and was 20.6 inches long. He was taken out by Emergency C-section after his heart rate began to drop. I was in labor for 14 hours before the c-section and then we went in. He was born with a hole in each lung and had to stay in the NICU for a few days. But he is now strong and healthy and doing really well!

I absolutely LOVED being pregnant! It was by far the best 9 months of my life. I had such a wonderful pregnancy that I would do it a million times over! I loved this little life even before I met him face to face.
God really used my pregnancy to teach me alot of stuff. Some of it was really good and some of it was tough.
But I came out a better person. Even to this day I am learning new things about myself, God and life through being a mom! I just thought I'd share these with you!

I had the awesome privilege of taking Joanne's maternity photos! She is a gorgeous girl with so much personality. We met up at Semaphore Beach and had some hot chocolate and talked about the impending birth. Her and I are were due around the same time, so here we were both 8 months pregnant and traipsing around the beach with our huge bellies. I love taking maternity shots! I love to capture the beauty and wonder of pregnancy. When I look at these photos I am reminded of that short time that my little Ethan was growing inside of me.
